2020 - Has been a year for the record books.  I feel like when looking back on life, 2020 will be one of those years we all remember.  So much has happened in the last year, yet at the same time, so little has happened!!  As always, I’d like to thank all of you for your support and words of encouragement over the last year.  This year, at the end of February, Sarah and I took a vacation to Costa Rica (landing back home March 5th) and what a surprise we were in for over the next few weeks. 2020, is just another year that has proven that challenges are a part of life, but they only hold you back if you let them!

2020 has been my most successful year ever in real estate thus far.  At the start of the year, I decided to make a major change and focus on my mental health and physical health more than I have ever done so before. This in turn caused me to live a much more balanced lifestyle and ended up with me being much more engaged and focused on my clients.  Transactions seemed to flow smoothly, and one sale turned into another all year long.   May 26th, 2020- I celebrated 10 years licensed with Royal LePage Kelowna. What a ride it has been! I’m proud to be part of the Number 1 brokerage in the Okanagan.

The pandemic created some changes to the way we practice business, with more virtual tours, and “face-time” showings.  This was challenging to navigate at first, but that’s what separates the good from the great; the ability to adapt, be creative and innovative, in difficult times.   Clients still had to find homes and many times rushed to beat other buyers or ended up in multiple offer situations. Back-up offers were common this year, and some of the best “deals” my clients acquired were due to coming in with a back-up offer, and riding out the waves. That's where my experience and creative contract writing come in.  This year has given me a greater perspective to look back on, and I’ve learned some valuable lessons which I can move forward with to navigate a better future.

The Okanagan real estate market has been booming since mid-May and currently in December is seasonally higher in sales than we normally see.  Everyone seems to love the Okanagan and since more and more people are realizing they can work from anywhere, they are choosing to move here.

One thing that 2020 made me realize is how important the connection is. Connecting with others, connection with nature, and connecting with yourself (myself).  My goal for 2021 is to go from being a “puddle” to a lake, maybe even an ocean.  To dive deeper into those things I choose to do.  It’s easy to be a mile wide and an inch deep. But to dive deeper and find the intricacies of something takes more effort.

My goals for 2021

-Dive deeper into learning about myself

(mentally, physically, spiritually)

-Dive deeper into learning about others

(those close to me, family, friends, colleagues, and those forging a positive change in the world)

-Dive deeper into the world of real estate and construction

(learn more about residential, commercial, and investment properties)

Thank you, once again, for being in my “sphere of influence”.  Please don’t ever hesitate to reach out at any time.  If you’re looking for a deeper connection - I’m always here to help.

Helping others has become my passion.

Wishing you a  Happy Holidays. May the holidays be filled with laughter and great times and CONNECTION.  I hope your 2021 is a whole lot better than 2020!!
